Usage counts against the commitment
Each month your usage is billed at the committed rate and drawn down from the commitment. Once it is exhausted, further usage continues pay-as-you-go at the same reduced rate. What you see in the workspace: the remaining balance and the curve over time. Raising the commitment brings a further discount immediately — on everything.
